- 通常の身体検査所見、心電図 (ECG) の結果、および胸部 X 線。または臨床的に重要でないと治験責任医師が判断した異常所見
除外基準:
- 二次性高血圧または重度の高血圧
- 臨床的に重大な心血管疾患または心不全
- ベータ遮断薬の使用を禁止する臨床的に重大な呼吸器疾患
- 現在の降圧療法を中止する医学的禁忌
- 1型糖尿病の病歴
- 軽度のうつ病を除く重度の精神疾患の病歴
