  Job Summary We are looking for a Mechanical Technician - Facilities Management located in Laval.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems by performing the necessary actions;

Check, clean and change the ducts and filters, if necessary;

Maintain the reverse osmosis system and its various filters;

Perform regular maintenance on pumps, valves and all components of the hydraulic system;

Collect and send water samples for analysis;

Perform periodic disinfection of reverse osmosis and distribution systems;

Ensure the cleanliness of the entire building, the equipment and the electrical room;

Perform daily tests on stationary engine devices, such as: water and steam kettles and coolers;

Perform all tasks and write reports according to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP);

Follow and apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);

Complete the appropriate documentation associated with the tasks. Ensure that the maintenance of the building in general, such as: toilets, lights, painting etc., is in accordance with GLP;

Minimize and effectively manage expenses, as much as possible;

Maximize the use of all resources;

Manage your time efficiently;

Help and / or replace his colleagues in the department;

Perform any other reasonable tasks that may be required.

  Job Qualifications

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work carried out throughout the building, including offices, laboratories, animal rooms and mechanical rooms;

• Sensory attention regularly required;

• The work schedule requires flexibility according to the demands of current projects, as well as being on call from time to time and the ability to work at night;

• Handling of potentially hazardous materials.

 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

• College diploma in a related field or equivalent;

• Stationary engine mechanic certification, class 4B; obligatory

• Knowledge of maintenance software is an asset;

• 5 years of experience in building maintenance;

• Experience in a pharmaceutical environment;

• Fluency in French is required, reading English is required;

• Good interpersonal and communication skills;

• Good analytical and problem solving skills;

• Ability to work with time constraints and adapt to changes;

• Flexibility to work with varied work schedules;

• Ability to work in a team;

• Working knowledge of the computer software used;
