The Study Start-Up Critical Path Manager is a strategic advisor who is project-deployed to support project teams as they navigate through SSU kick-off, inclusive of handover, planning, client KOM, and start-up activities (75% of Site Activation).

The role is home based in Poland (other CEE locations might also be considered)In this role, the Critical Path Manager reviews the proposal/contract, advises on strategic planning across all operational functions, ensures translation of the risk-based strategy from the proposal into the operational plans, ensures integration & coordination of the operational plans (such that all are driving to the same goals/milestones); reviews pre-identified risks & consults on supplemental risk and mitigation tactics; ensures team is fully prepared for the client KOM, working in close collaborations with all functional leads (and partnering with the Clinical Operations Leader).Coordinate and lead interventional activities related to the management of the critical path for study start-up across specific studies, portfolios, clients or clinical delivery units.Working in a team matrix environment (involving Project Leadership, MPDs, Clinical Operations, Site Contract Leaders, and others) oversee & implement an efficient and accelerated operational service delivery model to ensure activation of sites in accordance with the study start-up plan & client expectations.Critical to the role is ownership of the activation strategy, translation into a risk-based operational plan, and execution of the plan to course-correct in support of start-up delivery.The CPM partners closely with both the Global COL & regional/local Clinical Operations teams to proactively ID & communicate risks, existing roadblocks along the critical path, and advise/direct course-correcting strategies and proactive/reactive risk-mitigation tactics. They ensure execution through frequent & proactive communication as it relates to site activations and enrollment.Maintain and/or restore client satisfaction through proactive communication & strategic solution-based approaches to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

Role requirements:Proven client-facing relevant experience in industry (Pharma/CRO)Experience in a multi-national organization.Prior Project Management experience required.Critical Path Management preferable.End to End study start-up experience & expertise preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or Science-related field, with an advanced degree desirable.Fluent English.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.Client-focused action-oriented approach to work.Highly confident to deal with client and internal resources at all levels.Able to work independently and manage assignments from a distance.Strong understanding of cultural differences.Willingness to travel.
