This study is a randomized controlled experimental study designed to evaluate the effect of spiritual care counseling training on nurses' spiritual well-being, perceptions of spiritual care, competencies in spiritual care, and spiritual care practices. The study will be conducted with nurses working in a state hospital in Rize, Turkey. Participants will be divided into two groups: an intervention group and a control group. Detailed Description

This randomized controlled experimental study is designed to evaluate the effect of spiritual care counseling training given to nurses. Spiritual care is an important component of holistic nursing care. This study aims to evaluate changes in nurses' perceptions of spiritual care, competencies in spiritual care, spiritual well-being, and spiritual care practices.

The study will be conducted with nurses working in a state hospital in Rize, Turkey. Participants will be divided into two groups: an intervention group and a control group. Nurses in the intervention group will receive training in spiritual care counseling. Nurses in the control group will not receive any training during the study. Research data will be collected using pre-test, post-test, and follow-up measures. The study will evaluate data on nurses' spiritual well-being, perception of spiritual care, spiritual care competence, and spiritual care practices.

**Inclusion Criteria:**

  • Volunteering to participate in the study
  • Working as a nurse at the hospital where the study is conducted
  • Having at least one year of professional nursing experience
  • Not having previously received spiritual care counseling training

**Exclusion Criteria:**

  • Refusing to participate in the study
  • Not being present at the hospital during the data collection period
  • Working in a position other than nurse at the hospital
  • Having previously participated in spiritual care counseling training
  • Working in the education unit
  • Working as a nurse manager or in an administrative position
  • Providing incomplete or incorrectly completed questionnaires

Participants in this arm received spiritual care counseling training designed to improve spiritual care awareness, spiritual care competence, and spiritual well-being. The program included education on spirituality, assessment of spiritual needs, planning spiritual care interventions, and application of holistic nursing care principles.
A structured educational program provided to nurses to improve spiritual care knowledge, awareness, competence, and application in clinical practice. The training included spirituality concepts, assessment of patients' spiritual needs, planning and implementation of spiritual care interventions, communication skills, and holistic nursing care principles.

Outcome Measure: Spiritual Care Competence

Description: Spiritual care competence will be measured using the Spiritual Care Competence Scale (SCCS). Total scores range from 27 to 135, with higher scores indicating greater competence in providing spiritual care. Changes in scores will be assessed at baseline, immediately post-intervention, and 1 month post-intervention.
