Job Description

LabCorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in Seattle, WA.\u00A0

\u00A0

Work Schedule: 3rd shift start times will vary from 9:00pm until 11:00pm.

Job Responsibilities\u00A0

  • Receive and sort clinical lab specimens\u00A0
  • Prepare specimens for testing and analysis\u00A0\u00A0
  • Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information\u00A0
  • Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance\u00A0\u00A0
  • Troubleshoot any specimen related issues\u00A0
  • Replenish test bench supplies as needed\u00A0
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment\u00A0
  • Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested\u00A0
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards\u00A0

Minimum Qualifications\u00A0

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent\u00A0\u00A0

Preferred\u00A0Qualification:\u00A0

  • Current or prior LabCorp experience\u00A0
  • 6 months of experience\u00A0in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office,\u00A0clinic or hospital
  • 6 months\u00A0of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment\u00A0
  • 6 months of\u00A0experience\u00A0in a\u00A0medical/clinical laboratory experience\u00A0

  • Comfortability with handling biological specimens\u202F\u00A0
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens\u202F\u00A0
  • Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills\u00A0\u00A0
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask\u00A0\u00A0
  • Ability to work in a\u00A0fast-paced\u00A0production environment and meet established turn-around times\u00A0
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal\u00A0
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time\u00A0
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test\u00A0\u00A0
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed\u00A0

**Pay Range: $21.30 - $31.71 per hour\u00A0

All job offers will be\u202Fbased on a candidate\u2019s skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21.\u202F\u00A0
