As an Associate Research Scientist you are committed to excellence and high quality results in your complex laboratory analysis of key pharmaceutical products. Responsibilities: Independently performs analytical testing, method optimization/validation, and/or other specialty technologies studies OR method transfers for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and/or delivery systems. Understands and conforms to methods,and protocols applicable to assigned tasks. Designs and executes experiments independently Reviews and critiques study protocols, project status reports, final study reports and other porject-related technical documents Prepares and reviews study protocols, project status reports, final study reports and other project-related technical documents Communicates data and technical issues to clients as needed Leads analytical (procedural and instrumental) trouble shooting sessions

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualificationPrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable 6 year) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

OR Masters degree and previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable 4 year)

OR PhD and previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable 2 year)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Experience with LC-MS/MS small and/or large molecule bioanalysisDemonstrated technical proficiency in operation and troubleshooting multiple instruments (HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS, GC/MS etc.) and multiple detection techniques (UV, QQQ, HRMS etc.), methods and procedures.Experience in development and validation of LCMS/MS bioanalytical assays.Ability to operate and troubleshooting on multiple instruments (HPLC, GC, UPLC, ICP-MS, LC/MS, GC/MS etc.) and multiple detection techniques (UV, FL, CAD, ELSD, IC etc.), methods and procedures.Broad knowledge of protein and peptide chemistry, biochemistry.Knowledge of general chemistry and separation scienceAbility to independently perform root cause analysis for method investigationsProficiency on technical operating systemsProven problem solving and troubleshooting abilitiesProven ability in technical writing skillsTime management and project management skillsGood written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a collaborative work environment with a teamAbility to train junior staff
