LabCorp is seeking a <strong>Support Services Supervisor</strong> to join our team in the South Bend and Northern Indiana region. In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives" as we combat the COVID-19 pandemic.</p> <p>This position will supervise the Hospital Reference Test Clerk team in the South Bend and Northern Indiana area. Laboratory or Specimen Accessioning/Processing experience is preferred. This position will need a high level of customer service skills to be able to communicate effectively with staff as well as our clients. Good computer skills are needed. Previous supervisory or leadership experience would be helpful as well as training experience would be a plus. Must have a valid Driver's License and a good driving record. Training for this position may take place in regional laboratories such as Itasca, IL, Louisville, KY or Dublin, OH. </p> <p>The schedule for this position will be generally Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm, but must be flexible with availability between 7am - 7:30pm if needed for coverage or training</p> <p>Job Duties/Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Supervise the day to day operations of the non-technical staff for the Hospital Reference Test Clerks</li> <li>Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing</li> <li>Directly supervise, train, and mentor non-technical personnel of the department</li> <li>Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate coverage</li> <li>Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed</li> <li>Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary</li> <li>Engage in continuous process and service level improvements</li> <li>Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy</li> <li>Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents</li> <li>Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development</li> <li>Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures</li> <li>Process and maintain payroll and personnel files</li> <li>Perform administrative duties as needed</li> </ul>
