The Financial Business Planning group is the departmental financial analysis function of ICON. The department role is to provide independent, objective financial and consulting services designed to add value, direction and leadership to assist the business in attaining success.

The Financial Business Planning group plays an integral part in enabling ICON to accomplish its objectives by bringing a global, systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating finances and strategy.

This person is also responsible for Driving Revenue growth, Revenue Forecasting, Project Margin management and external reporting for assigned portfolio.

People Leadership

  • Lead PFA team with high quality delivery and focusing on centre of excellence
  • Hiring of new talent and developing existing team
  • Embed and develop Own It @ ICON Culture and the ICON four Values

Financial Ownership

  • Revenue – Ensuring revenue is accurately recorded and forecasted across portfolio. Support the pre close review of Revenue to ensure accuracy of reporting.
  • Driving revenue initiatives across portfolio to maximize revenue
  • Billing/Cash Collections – Monitoring invoicing flow and open debtors across portfolio to ensure cash neutrality. Engaging with clients on invoicing and cash collections issues as they arise
  • Margin – Monitoring project margin performance and ensuring appropriate actions are in place to drive margin performance across the portfolio
  • Client reporting – Ensuring accurately client reporting is provided in line with committed deadlines 
  • Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, energy, responsiveness, decision-making, and effectiveness.
  • Support the preparation of ad-hoc management presentations and participate in various process improvement initiatives
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes, adding value to our business and meeting client needs.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge Requirement:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing medium to large teams
  • Excellent financial acumen with ability to interpret large volume of data
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and influencing skills
  • Exposure in Project Revenue Business an advantage
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel.
  • Prior experience in Oracle Financial systems, Hyperion, Alteryx, Power BI, Excel Macro etc. is an advantage.

Educational Requirements:

  • Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of Post Qualification Experience
