Laboratory Services Team Lead - Blood Bank

The work schedule for this position will be: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm and every other weekend.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's in Medical Lab Technologist/Clinical Lab Technology or Bachelor's in Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Science/Clinical Lab Science is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical lab experience in Blood Bank is required; 6 years of experience is preferred.
• Meet all training requirements

Duties and responsibilities:

• Perform bench work as needed.
• Coordinate workflow/meet all turnaround times.
• Administer and review quality control.
• Organize proficiency testing when necessary.
• Acts as liaison with other departments/leadership.
• Research problems when necessary.
• Assist with validations and linearity on instruments as directed.
• Maintain logs/records.
• Perform inventory/order supplies.
• Train new employees.
• Any additional duties assign by leadership.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to sit/stand for an extended period of time.
• Able to reach, bend, stretch, and lift to 30 pounds.
• Able to utilize the appropriate PPE.
• Able to distinguish and identify different colors.
