Job Description

This position is needed to perform a variety of duties to help maintain our facility in safe operating conditions while working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment when they are discovered before they have a chance worsen including conduct regular inspections of the building.

· Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, addressing plumbing issues, furniture moves, patch & paint walls.

· Escort vendors around building.

· Ability respond to emergency maintenance requests while on-call.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 6 months – 1 year facility maintenance experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Windows)

· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.

· Must be able to pay close attention to detail.

Working Conditions

· Work is performed in an office and/or a laboratory and /or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical equipment.

· May occasionally drive to other locations.

Physical Demands

· Frequent mobility required.

· May be stationary for 4-6 hours per day.

· Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands and wrists.

· Frequent crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting of upper body and neck.

· Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moving) objects with a maximum lift of 50 lbs. required frequency.

· Ability to use a variety of computer software.

· Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand with the ability to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.

· May interact with others, relating and gathering sensitive information.

· Works with guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions from management. May require periods of intense concentration.

· Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress while multi-tasking.
