Job Purpose: To work within the team primarily focusing on manufacture and in process testing i.e. in-vitro diagnostic devices.  To ensure that allocated equipment is maintained, and all manufacturing processes are followed using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and any in-process testing is carried out in accordance with the required protocols.  To support other areas of the business when required, to help ensure the delivery of products to the required Quality, Right First Time, On Time and in full.

Role Complexity: Able to use the required equipment in routine function competently and confidently, ensuring they are calibrated - and are in good working order, with the correct documentation.

Ensure company standards are met with regards to working environment

Able to use the ERP system to log the progress of assigned work, to perform the necessary inventory transactions for control of stock and document management (as required).

Ensure the correct archiving of all documents assigned to them.

Work as part of a team to complete manufacturing processes and any in process testing

To complete all records and worksheets (including raw data) fully, clearly and at the time work is completed, ensuring data transfer and calculations are carried out correctly. To ensure all documents are compliant to the Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory requirements.

To be competent in all tasks performed, ensuring this is clearly documented in training records.

Decision Making: Able to plan and prioritise workload effectively with guidance and support from their line manager based on the manufacturing/testing schedule

Responsible for ensuring that the maintenance activities of assigned equipment are completed on time, correctly and properly documented.

Essential Skills / Experience:

•    Strong communication skills (verbal & written)•    Good standard of English (verbal & written)•    Excellent attention to detail.•    Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice or previous experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment•    Experience of working in a team•    Excellent time management, organisation and planning skills•    Ability to problem solve•    Enthusiastic with good self motivation

Although not essential, the following skills and experience would be advantageous:

•    Degree in a relevant Scientific subject•    Experience of working within a team

•    Experience of working to deadlines
