Employee Relations Senior Partner

Education/skills required:

Undergraduate degree in business, law, human resources, or related subject is preferred

Appropriate HR Certification is preferred(PHR, SPHR, GPHR, CIPD, etc.)

Major Tasks: 

  • Works with leaders on complex ER cases with minimal supervision
  • Handles investigations into sensitive matters including but not limited to; violations of Labcorp’s Anti-Harassment, EEO, Code of Conduct, Compliance, Conditions of Employment, Workplace Violence policies, gross misconduct, theft, or violation of federal, state, or local law
  • Provides coaching and guidance to leaders on workplace concerns that require ER support; may not always work a matter to close – at times will provide coaching and then transition a case to another team member for follow up and close out
  • Advises on formal processes in accordance with Labcorp policies and appropriate regulatory guidelines. (i.e., attendance issues, failure to follow SOPs, quality issues, investigations, and performance matters) and local labor laws
  • Participates and may lead employee relations projects and activities  
  • Coordinates information with otherER team members to ensure compliance with federal state and local country requirements
  • Preparation of delivery of training for leadersbased on insights gained from case metrics
  • Works with the metrics team to supply additional intelligence around case numbers for their business unitin order to inform ER interventions and recommend solutions
  • May be required to work across the global teamas appropriate

Experience/skills required:

  • Proven HR experience and interest in employee relations 
  • Good sound knowledge of relevant employment and labor laws
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues
  • Proven customer service focus and organizational skills; ability to prioritize issues that are time sensitive
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to conduct a thorough and complete investigation and train others on investigative process
  • Ability to summarize cases succinctly and give case reviews if required (to peers/legal/ER leaders) in order to make recommendations to the business

Experience/skills preferred:

  • Awareness of multiple HR disciplines and processes (i.e., compensation, benefits, talent acquisition).
  • Familiarity with case management tools and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Labcorp policies and ability to refer managers and employees to relevant policies, tools, documents, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with minimal guidance required. Flexibility and willingness to deal with competing priorities and assist others as needed in a team environment.
  • Ability to look at processes analytically with the desire to innovate and improve

Pay range: $90,000.00 -$105,000.00
