Location/Division Specific Information

We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Market Intelligence to join the Microbiology Division (MBD), Marketing function. This role is on the divisional marketing leadership team and reports into the Head of Marketing.

The position is remote, with global reach.

Discover Impactful Work:

This position enables effective decision-making and execution, guided by comprehensive market and competitor intelligence, to support MBD's growth initiatives, strategy and lead generation. Responsibilities include generating and communicating market, customer, and competitor insights internally to inspire change.

As a Senior Manager, you will make business decisions for Microbiology's core and pipeline products, based on customer and market insights derived from data analysis and research. You will also develop strategic forecast and business models in collaboration with Marketing and Finance.

A Day in the Life:
  • Independently leads and conducts analyses on microbiology customers and markets.
  • Develops business and marketing strategies to drive planning and execution.
  • Anticipates and identifies market research needs, tracks down data, and recommends new sources.
  • Conducts market and customer segmentation analysis, creating clear strategies to target markets.
  • Defines problem statements and applies data to understand root causes and identify gaps.
  • Analyzes and summarizes data to drive conclusions and action plans.
  • Supports strategy based on the latest market research and trends.
  • Designs and conducts international primary research, deriving clear recommendations for business decisions.
  • Develops pioneering forecasting models and trains colleagues on the methodology.
  • Serves as a project manager or team member for cross-functional projects requiring in-depth market research support.

Keys To Success:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Psychology, Life Sciences

Experience
  • 7+ years experience in product management or marketing.
  • Experience in market research or market intelligence, at least two years in healthcare industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to successfully communicate value propositions and technical information to professionals, partners and internal audiences.
  • Experience developing organic and paid social media campaigns to expand content reach.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Ability to travel (including internationally) at low frequency for team, project, and business meetings.
