How you will make an impact

The Marketing Specialist provides market analytics support to the global Molecular Biology business unit to understand performance trends, regional insights, and extensive data analysis to provide strategic market and driven insights. The level of analysis is expected to drive initiatives, advise budget decisions, and identify divisional market development opportunities.

The position is Carlsbad, CA and will collaborate closely with the Molecular Biology global marketing team. The candidate will partner closely with the divisional analytics team, as well as channel owners within the digital marketing team.

What will you do?

Business Performance Reporting

  • Summarizes data and evaluates trends, prepares weekly and monthly presentations to report findings
  • Delivers regular updates on current performance, market conditions, opportunities, and threats, highlighting potential implications for the organization's business strategies
  • Must have extensive experience with Adobe Analytics and possess an exceptional attention to detail to identify and analyze performance trends. Collaborate with the marketing team to understand needs and successfully address analytic discrepancies between reporting mechanisms.

Data Management and Tool Utilization
  • Lead, maintain, and build Adobe Analytics dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
  • Stay up to date with additional reporting dashboards (Microsoft PowerBI), the latest market research tools and technologies (including generative AI) and proactively find opportunities to use them for enhanced analysis and insights.
  • Experience with detailed metric analysis and practical application to business strategies.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent area.

Experience
  • Technical expertise in Adobe Analytics, Microsoft PowerBI, market research & competitive intelligence (3-5 years)
  • Strong analytical skills and validated experience in strategic and conceptual thinking
  • Focus on business and performance trends and insights with ability to provide advice in a concise way
  • Proficiency in English
  • Confirmed strength with Microsoft Office, mainly Powerpoint, Excel, Access
  • Ability to prompt generative AI solutions
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Proven record of building, maturing, and implementing business processes within a global/matrixed organization.
  • Ability to accurately follow sophisticated procedures, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate successfully to empower global constituents to meet business objectives, and possess strong presentation skills at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to adapt and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Adobe Analytics, Power BI) is helpful.
  • Can work independently, within a team, or collaboratively across teams

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00–$111,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
