Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Medical Scientific Liaison Specialist II at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in the United Kingdom, covering the midlands and Wales. Job Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for physician-facing activities pertaining to specified areas in support of the company's oncology and specialist immunology business goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external opinion leaders and clinical investigators, physicians, pharmaceutical companies, laboratories and other key customers
  • Collaborate with clinical key decision makers and opinion leaders in the field of haematology and immunology and other relevant parties to offer comprehensive scientific assistance and information regarding our products and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals
  • Deliver scientific presentations and trainings to both internal and external individuals or teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements and market trends to determine business opportunities
  • Work closely with the UK Sales Territory Managers to optimize customer education and growth of sales

Job Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field, preferably in the life sciences. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry and understanding of the regulatory environment desirable
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must live on territory (Midlands/Wales)
