What will you do?

The Software Engineer performs the analysis, design, programming, and modifications for software products and/or customer applications.  Writes code and complete programming, testing and debugging of applications. May use a wide range of disciplines such as distributed networking and databases, communications, and multiprocessing applications.  Requires firm background in software engineering including analysis, design, implementation, and verification.  At more advanced levels, establishes techniques for the design and modification of software. The position will give the chance to get experience with multiple data processing environments such as Hadoop, RDBMS, and Cloud computing. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain dynamic web application using Angular/JQuery and other front-end technologies.
  • Develop data visualizations in form of maps, graphs, charts and more. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Integrate front-end applications with APIs.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.
  • Work within an Agile development environment.
  • Contribute to DevOps processes to streamline development and deployment.

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in front-end development.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, jQuery, and Angular.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Experience in designing and implementing responsive front-end layouts.
  • Proficient in English at a business level, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in DevOps environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js).
  • Knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Capability to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
