JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose:
The Senior Manager Human Resources leads and manages a team of Manager(s) and or
individual contributors and collaborates with the global human resource business partner
community to build a culture, at the local/regional level and/or with multiple SBU/Functions that
enables change and increases performance of his/her team and client groups while influencing
managerial and organizational effectiveness with the goal to drive SBU/Function business
results. It is critical for the Senior Manager Human Resources to earn the trust and respect at all
levels, and to be considered a role model by others through his/her ability to blend his/her
human resources knowledge with a collaborative style while reinforcing PAREXEL’s High
Performance Culture (HPC) behaviors.
Key Accountabilities:
Accountability Supporting Activities
Team Leadership
Demonstrate and model effective leadership in communicating within
a decentralized workforce, both internal and external to HR, in a way
that builds engagement and supports organizational success
Manage all aspects of the employment life cycle, as needed,
including recruitment, compensation, benefits, recognition,
development, employee relations, compliance, and separations of
employment
Deploy Human Resources Strategy, objectives and Key
Performance Indicators into the region or multiple SBU/Function in
the region
Ensures the availability and development of appropriate people
resources and talent in the region to meet the business needs
Regularly interacts with Human Resources senior management
Business Acumen
Capture and monitor human resources metrics, drives to root cause
and develops/deploys counter measures
Monitor team's performance to ensure adherence to budgets,
schedules, work plans, and output requirements
Analyze human resources data on a regular basis for business area,
at the country/cross country level, to identify opportunities for
improvement and implement solutions to enhance service quality
and cost effectiveness, i.e., labor turnover trends, absence
management

Coach managers and supervisors on performance, development and
other key areas
Lead the organization through a PAREXEL’s Performance &
Development Conversation process, ensuring that goals are
identified and aligned, meaningful feedback and coaching is
frequently provided, and real-time performance is assessed and
calibrated
Undertakes the full range of duties relevant to the leadership,
management and development of the team to ensure their
performance meets and or exceed both the business and their own
personal goals/objectives
Compliance
Implement and maintain Human Resources policies and practices
that are compliant, and reflective of the PAREXEL’s values and
culture
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and legislative
requirements
If required: collaborate with Payroll and Finance departments in
order to ensure high quality payroll services
Accountability Supporting Activities
Business Partnering
Demonstrates deep understanding of PAREXEL's business,
different lines of business and industry trends
Develops strong relationships across Human Resources and
through the organization to understand and anticipate
information and reporting needs
Present the results of the analysis with strong recommendations
regarding actions that business operations can take to increase
efficiency, employee engagement and overall business
performance
Identify and deliver training and development initiatives required
