The Finalyst Program (TFP) is a 24-months graduate program, where talents are invited to discover whether they have the determination to develop a life-long career in Finance and the Life Science sector, with the market leader in serving science. Successful applicants are carefully selected, consciously mapped, and assigned to various Finance roles over the 24-month fixed term hire period, doing real and impactful business and finance work, contributing significantly to the success of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our APJ Regional Team as a TFP supporting the regional work and driving initiatives in the region. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple divisions, geographies and functions. The role will be a great stepping stone to progress in a Finance career as it provides great insight into the company's structure and leadership objectives.

Position Summary:

This is a hands-on position responsible for consolidation of forecasts for all Geos in the APJ region. This individual must possess the ability to work independently in a matrix environment. Strong financial system knowledge, ability to communicate and collaborate with FP&A and commercial leaders are key success factors for this role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare & Publish financial reports to regional stakeholders from reporting database; Ensure intercompany entities are correctly added to each Division
  • Key Support during monthly and quarterly business reviews as well as during budgeting cycle
  • Review reporting templates from Corporate
  • Prepare supporting financial analysis for Leadership Review
  • Collaborate with Country FP&A leads to ensure accurate and timely submission of revenue forecasts on a periodic basis
  • Assist in preparation of Key financial slides for presentation during Kick-off Meetings and Townhalls
  • Prepare linearity reports
  • Ad-hoc Assignments

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accountancy, Finance or equivalent
  • 0 to 2 years of progressive experience in financial systems and reporting in an MNC environment.
  • Applied knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, etc.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with advanced Excel skills

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, action oriented, meticulous and hands on nature

  • Must be able to work under pressure, in a complex matrix environment
