Job Description

  • Accountable individual for setting, monitoring, and continuously improving site safety culture for all employees and leadership team members
  • Responsible for encouraging & monitoring of safety & environmental activities on CTD UK Sites to ensure compliance with legislative requirements & to align management on safety & environmental standard methodology.
  • An experienced pragmatic professional to provide support to CTD on EHS and related matters.
  • To provide mentorship and support to internal and external clients on EHS matters relating to work within CTD.
  • To support the site General Manager and EHS Director for CTD in implementing policies and procedures for EHS.
  • To align the management on compliance with EHS regulations and practices.
  • To develop standard methodologies for CTD and to share way of working and expertise with other sites.
  • To develop and mentor EHS staff within the department ensuring their continued professional development.
  • To assist the EHS director with specific projects and regional site audits from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent in related field, plus applicable training.  Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, strong interpersonal and communication skills, general math and digital literacy, and ability to provide solutions through suggestions for process improvement. 
  • Safety and health experience required; pharmaceutical experience a plus.
  • Physical Demands:  Some work may be performed in noisy areas and at varying temperatures.  May require climbing, lifting, or prolonged periods of standing.  Ability to wear respiratory equipment is needed. 
  • Allergies:  Allergies to specific pharmaceuticals may disqualify individuals from performing these duties.
