Location/Division Specific Information

Bridgewater, NJ/Our Global Chemicals business has exceptional growth potential. Global Chemicals was built from several acquisitions and provides a full range of analytical reagents and discovery chemicals to Thermo Fisher’s core research markets worldwide. Global Chemicals has 14 operational facilities in the US, Europe, and Asia, and sells a significant portion of its products through Thermo Fisher customers channels group in major Western markets.

What will you do?

  • Direct supervision of employees including recruitment, performance management and training.
  • Develop and empower employees through effective and consistent communication.
  • Responsible for maintaining acceptable warehouse metrics including (Safety performance, quality assurance, operation lead times, on time shipments and shippable backorder).
  • Partner with the planning and production personnel on the flow and organization of materials through the production to shipping process.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service with other departments and provide feedback on any issues, material availability, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to safety policies and practices within the department and facility. Contribute to the overall organized appearance and cleanliness of hard goods storage areas to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Track and respond to shortages reported from the manufacturing floor.

How will you get here?

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain, or other related subject area preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience
  • 1-3 Years' relevant experience in the field of distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong in Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Multitasker
  • Analytical, mathematical, and problem solving abilities
  • Preferred knowledge in AS400 based WMS
  • Knowledge in ERP systems i.e., SAP
