OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

The Program Manager, Clinical Data Science (PM, CDS) will ensure program and study level goals and objectives are consistently met to the highest standard of quality. They ensure CDS functional team lead deliverables consistently meet study timelines, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

  • Implement effective tracking and reporting to delivery to study contract
  • Provide technical and managerial leadership, including mentorship and subject matter experts
  • Accountable for all CDS project delivery milestones, internal reporting, and progress reports for assigned projects
  • Provide consultation for CDS best practices (processes, systems, regulations, etc.)
  • Oversee project status and escalate potential problems
  • Point of escalation both internally and externally
  • Participate in Sponsor and/or third-party audits
  • Maintain oversight for a number of clients or program work in a client partnership
  • Support CDS strategic plans at client level
  • Review project proposals and attend bid defenses as a representative of the function when required
  • Perform financial review of projects under their span
  • Guide the project team with respect to out-of- scope tasks
  • Oversight management and forecasting within the utilized financial tool
  • Review financial documentation and assess preparedness related to all clinical data science activities from planning through data delivery/close out
  • Approve worked units, forecasted units, and project invoices monthly

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU WILL NEED:

  • 10+ years of clinical data management experience in a clinical research organization or pharmaceutical company
  • 2+ years of experience working in a clinical research organization (CRO)
  • Experience with all steps within the data science lifecycle and most major data science study tasks, with proficiency in at least one Clinical Data Management system required (e.g., Rave, Inform, Oracle Clinical, OCRDC, UX EDC)
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading a program of projects
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • stablished Mentor and/or SME experience
  • Budget and timeline management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the education and experience stated above. All employees must read, write, and speak fluent English and host country language.
