The work schedule for this position is: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
  • Communicate effectively with client office staff
  • Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
  • Meet department activity and production goals
  • Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Medical Lab Science, Clinical Lab Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous clinical lab experience is required
  • LA State CLS (LSBME) license is required
  • ASCP or AMT certification is required
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus
  • High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
