Deelname Criteria

Onderzoekers zoeken naar mensen die aan een bepaalde beschrijving voldoen, de zogenaamde geschiktheidscriteria. Enkele voorbeelden van deze criteria zijn iemands algemene gezondheidstoestand of eerdere behandelingen.

Beschrijving

Inclusiecriteria:

  • Volwassenen met actief of een voorgeschiedenis van niet-valvulair atriumfibrilleren of flutter met het geplande of bestaande gebruik van een oraal anticoagulans voor profylaxe van trombo-embolie. Bovendien moeten proefpersonen in de voorafgaande 14 dagen een acuut coronair syndroom of percutane coronaire interventie met een stent hebben gehad
  • Gepland gebruik van plaatjesaggregatieremmers gedurende ten minste 1 tot 6 maanden
  • Mannen en vrouwen ≥ 18 jaar
  • Vrouwen in de vruchtbare leeftijd moeten binnen 24 uur voorafgaand aan de start van het onderzoeksgeneesmiddel een negatieve serum- of urinezwangerschapstest hebben

Uitsluitingscriteria:

  • Andere aandoeningen dan boezemfibrilleren die chronische antistolling vereisen. (bijv. prothetische mechanische hartklep)
  • Ernstige nierinsufficiëntie (serumcreatinine > 2,5 mg/dl of een berekende creatinineklaring < 30 ml/min
  • Patiënten met een voorgeschiedenis van intracraniële bloeding
  • Patiënten hebben een coronaire arteriële bypass-transplantaat (CABG) gehad of zullen deze ondergaan vanwege hun index acuut coronair syndroom (ACS)-gebeurtenis
  • Patiënten met bekende aanhoudende bloedingen en patiënten met bekende coagulopathieën
  • Eventuele contra-indicaties of allergieën voor VKA, apixaban of beoogde P2Y12-antagonisten of aspirine
