Discover Impactful Work:

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide TEA (trace elemental analysis) product line support to customers in North America. Using our remote technologies (such as Augmented Reality and various other digital tools) and through effective troubleshooting, you will minimize disruption to the customer’s scientific operations by seeking and assisting to provide a timely resolution. You will be encouraged to keep up to date with our instrumentation through additional training, mentoring and onsite field experiences to maintain knowledge and gain experience on new equipment.

A day in the Life:

Performs all Activities in line with internal rules and customer regulations reflecting our Company 4I values.

You will be working on Techniques within the TEA (trace elemental analysis) portfolio

  • Provide technical support via phone or electronically to customers, external and internal, involving application, hardware, software and operations
  • Troubleshoot efficiently using remote diagnostics and Augmented Reality as well as any other approved digital tools
  • Work to effectively to diagnose all support requests and communicate a clear action plan to field service for requests that need onsite service
  • Ensure both internal and external customers receive outstanding experiences with every interaction
  • Continuing education to update knowledge and keep up-to-date on products through mentoring and onsite field experiences
  • Create and handle all ticket types for Technical Support and onsite service requests
  • Maintain highly accurate records in the service database for compliance regulations.
  • Ability to consistently follow business procedures and meet performance metrics
  • Promote and sell aftermarket products and services

Keys to Success:

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or similar subject area or equivalent related experience required.

Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical professional experience supporting analytical instrumentation, with the preference being TEA (trace elemental analysis) instruments

  • Strong analytical thinking and high problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding ability to communicate sophisticated technical issues in an easy to understand manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with a wide diversity of people
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, each with different priority levels
  • High self-motivation and ability to work independently from a home-office environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
