LABORATORY ENGINEER

You will be a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, which develops, manufactures, and markets diagnostic tests for allergies, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. We are a world leader in in vitro diagnostics for allergies and a leader in autoimmune diagnostics in Europe.

How will you be able to make an impact?

We are seeking a laboratory engineer for the Quality Control Allergy group. This position is a permanent employment with immediate start.

The Quality Control Allergy group consists of 14 people and is part of the Product Quality department. The group is responsible for performing quality controls on raw materials and products, both from external suppliers and from the company's own production.

A little more about the job:

We are looking for someone who is interested in both laboratory and administrative routine work. In this role, your tasks will include plan and perform laboratory analysis and well as review and document the analytical results. You will also be reviewing batch documentation and assessing test results against specifications using our own LIMS system. Moreover you will investigate non-conformities and work actively to improve the process within your areas of responsibility. The work is carried out according to LEAN principles with visual planning, standardized work methods, and continuous improvements.

The majority of the laboratory analysis is performed using the company developed Phadia Laboratory System, Phadia 100 and Phadia 250. The evaluation of the analytical results is done using our internal lab management system.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for someone with a higher education in a natural science field, biomedical analysis, or equivalent, alternatively, someone with equivalent work experience.

It is advantageous if you have experience in laboratory work and LEAN within a quality-regulated operation (GMP/QSR/ISO 13485). We value the following qualities for the role:

- Quality consciousness and accuracy

- Ability to work efficiently and structured

- Independence in planning your own work

It is also important that you have good communication skills and can work well in a team. To successfully carry out the tasks, it is important that you can read and write fluently in Swedish and, as we are an international company, also have proficiency in English.
