Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Warehouse and Materials Lead to join our team in Cork, Ireland. Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day leadership of the warehouse & materials team
  • Manage receipt, storage and shipping processes for all raw materials, intermediates, APIs and bulk solvents areas in a cGMP manner that optimizes quality, safety, yield and throughput performance.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for performance management within the warehouse team.
  • Drive the team towards achieving important targets in safety, quality, customer supply, and productivity.
  • Be responsible for coordinating and managing all operating issues such as rescheduling resource requirements.
  • Develop and deliver an annual training plan to increase competency and cross-training.
  • Support the site cycle counting process to maintain accurate stock count.
  • Liaise with the Order Fulfilment team regarding shipment schedules.
  • Be a champion for PPI (practical process improvements), using Performance Management as the primary way of working. Maintain all relevant daily and weekly performance boards.
  • Participate in client tours / visits including necessary preparation/follow-up
  • Identify required equipment upgrades and improvements (e.g. high bay)

Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business, or equivalent experience in a primary pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical production/warehousing or distribution.
  • Expert knowledge of Business Information Systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across multiple departments.
