As Director, Diversity & Inclusion Business Partner, you will define and develop strategies that advance inclusion by diagnosing needs and opportunities to accelerate inclusion within local and global teams, coach HR business partners and business leaders to cultivate a culture of inclusion using companywide tools, frameworks, and programs, and lead organizational change in alignment with the company’s D&I strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Influence, collaborate and coach leaders to take actions to promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.
  • Develop understanding of goals within environment to identify actionable and measurable programs to unlock diversity and strengthen a culture of inclusion within global and local teams.
  • Use data to actively monitor program initiatives and ensure progress against defined success measures.
  • Collaborate with the broader diversity and inclusion team, the Culture and Counsel platform, and the global HR function to ensure broad alignment with Thermo Fisher's STRAP, 4i Values, and 2030 Vision.
  • Handle resources effectively to deliver sustainable and scalable solutions that are integrated within HR organizational processes, systems, and programs.
  • Effectively lead and manage organizational change.
  • Support internal collaborators such as the business resource groups (BRGs) to champion connection, broaden awareness, and encourage participation within their business groups, functions, and regions.
  • Serve as a visible, active, and positive champion and change agent to promote equity of access and opportunities, accept and celebrate diversity, and cultivate belonging for all colleagues.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of HR, D&I, or related experience in roles of increasing scope in large, global organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or social/behavioral sciences.
  • Expertise with organizational change.
  • Ability to interact with, influence, and coach executives to adopt new behaviors and drive systemic change.
  • Cultural fluency – experience enacting change in a multinational environment.
  • Experience in a high profile, strategic HR or similar role with heavy executive-level interface and a high degree of executive influence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in facilitation/presentation.
  • Analytical and critical thinking with a metrics driven approach to solutions and the ability to translate insights into compelling narratives for change to encourage action.
  • Thrives in a constantly evolving organization and operates comfortably with ambiguity and complexity.
