The Patient Recruitment Assistant is an integral role to support Accellacare's growth and success by contacting patient leads and pre-screening potential patients for participation in clinical research studies. Acting as the initial point of contact for patients, you will conduct phone screens, review patient’s basic medical information to determine eligibility, discuss research opportunities, maintain patient database and report recruitment outcomes. This is an important role to increase the volume of patients recruited in support of Accellacare enrolment targets
The Role

Contact assigned patient leads and perform a tele screen according to approved telescreen questionnaire to determine suitability for trials
Accurately review, enter and edit patient responses and information in the Accellacare CTMS system
Provide patient follow up where necessary
Book patient appointments into the Accellacare CTMS ensuring that entries are accurate and up to date
Attend all Accellacare and study related training and ensure working knowledge of study protocol
Identify appropriate study opportunities for interested volunteers based on knowledge of clinical trials and site locations
Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
Responsible for meeting daily recruitment targets including but not limited to daily calls made, pre-screens/telescreens completed, leads contacted in timely manner, screenings/Patient Interest Visits scheduled
Effectively communicate importance of research participation and relevant study details to patients
Work in strict confidentiality in all forms including electronically, written form and verbal, following Accellacare SOPs, GCP, training processes, and local regulations as applicable for patient interactions
Provide an exceptional patient experience by building positive rapport and providing consistent follow-up
Accountable for delivering high quality, accurate work, ensuring all administration is filed accordingly.
Self-motivated, organise own workload to ensure effective delivery of delegated tasks and projects
Posess a business curiosity that encompasses Accellacare’s values.
Proactively keep up to date with current studies, raising any training needs to People Leader.
This role involves some shift and weekend work.
What you need
Prior relevant clinical research industry experience
General knowledge of Good Clinical Practices
Prior Patient Recruitment experience is a plus
Basic computer skills including MS-Office (e.g. Word, Excel)
Sound interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to communicate with team members clearly and concisely
Work successfully in a virtual global team
Able to troubleshoot potential issues and make decisions with input from line manager
Able to work independently with regular oversight/guidance from line manager
Independently complete tasks given by more senior patient recruitment
Able to manage time effectively in order to meet daily metrics and team objectives
Accountable for own deliverables
High School Diploma
