Casual Pharmacist

IQVIA is seeking a proactive and highly motivatedcasual Pharmacistto join one of our patient support programs. The objective of the program is to support the launch and ongoing uptake of a rare genetic disease medication, with a ‘best in class’ patient support program, which enables patients to have an improved quality of life, improved outcomes, and ongoing adherence.

In this very flexible and autonomous casual position you will:

• Provide post-prescription/initiation support and education to reinforce elements of the HCP consult for the patient in a personalized and tailored approach:
• Managing expectations
• Education around expected side effects (especially transient side effects)
• Education about dosing and administration
• Provide additional support and education to achieve better health and lifestyle outcomes (holistic wellbeing)
• Fill information gaps the patient did not get at the consult
• Sense of connectedness, clarity, and value
• Access to allied health services – particular need for diet, mental health and/or others
• Drives persistence on therapy (100% compliance)
• Work closely with the Amicus, Nuevo Health, Vivacity Health program teams to share feedback and experiences from patients and HCPs

To be considered for this position you:

• Registered Pharmacist (Current Registration)
• Ability to work flexible hours during business days
• Capacity to increase working hours as required
• Previous experience with delivering remote or telephone support
• Ability to deliver clear and concise messages and direction over the telephone
• Previous education delivery to patients
• High level of attention to detail and effective time management skills
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills in the healthcare environment (including with physicians, clinic staff, patients and company representatives)
• High level of computer literacy, IT Proficient
• Australian Citizen / Permanent Resident of Australia

Hours will flexible depending on your schedule. Please note no weekends or after hours.
