Manager, Project Management – Early Phase

Job Introduction:

At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization (CRO) company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are seeking a Manage, Project Manager – Early Phase to join our team. Our Manager, Project Managers works toward building a deeper connection and understanding with those who count on us most. Through questioning the status quo and collaborating cross-functionally, the Manager, Project Manager is responsible for leading the Baltimore, MD Early Phase Clinical Unit project management team, maintaining client and vendor relationships, as well as ensuring all early phase trials are being managed to the highest level of integrity.

  • Proficient in ICH GCP and NESS and local regulations in relevant geographies

What you will Do:

  • Provide management, leadership, mentoring, training, and support to the EPCU Project Management Team to ensure the delivery of high quality and timely services to internal and external customers/stakeholders. 
  • Establish and maintain excellent client focus and service-oriented mentality within the PM team
  • Implement measures to improve team efficiency and effectiveness; evidenced by the work produced, team feedback, profitability, client feedback, audit results, and QC measures.
  • Establish quality standards for EPCU projects that drive individual and team commitment to quality.
  • Ensure satisfactory progress and completion of several clinical projects, either directly or by supervision of other Project Managers. 
  • Represent the PM department in external client meetings and presentations such as Bid Defense Meetings, investigator meetings or others as required. May represent PAREXEL at professional meetings / conferences.
  • Identify potential risks and implement contingency plans, mitigate risks with team members and keep client informed about risks and contingencies.
  • Manage escalations from project teams, Client stakeholders & Global Function Heads through effective problem-solving, while promoting strong cross-functional collaboration and partnership with project teams and clients.

Additional Details:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a science related or medical field; advanced degree preferred
  • At least 4 years of Project Management experience within the clinical research industry.
  • At least 2 years of management experience
  • Proficient in ICH GCP and NESS and local regulations in relevant geographies

Base Pay Range: $130,000.00 to $145,000.00

Actual salaries may vary within the range based on several factors including, but not limited to education, training, experience, professional achievement, and location.

In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for participation in Parexel’s annual performance-based bonus plan, annual salary review and additional total rewards incentives. Our talent acquisition team will provide additional details on our bonus plan or incentive programs for those eligible roles.
