IT Security Architect

Parexel is looking for a IT Security Architect to help build out a brand new function in our security organization. This individual will be based in our Durham, NC office.Design, build and implement enterprise-class security systemsAlign standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategyIdentify and communicate current and emerging security threats Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emergeCreate solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirementsUsing Risk management, apply best practice standards to identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancementsUse current programming language and technologies to writes code, complete programming and performs testing and debugging of applicationsProviding security expertise for projects for IT and internal customers. Take active role in guiding other SBUs and clients in security best practices.Qualifications5+ years’ experience in Security architecture, demonstrating solutions delivery, principles and emerging technologies - Designing and implementing security solutions. Hands-on experience delivering cloud PaaS based applicationHands-on experience delivering security architecture in the cloud (i.e. Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS) Hands-on experience delivering Enterprise Identity and access management (IAM), Federation and Single Sign-on solutionsKnowledge of Penetration Testing, Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) and Static Application Security Testing (SAST).Knowledge of VB.NET, Java/J2EE, API/web services, scripting languages such as Python and a relational database management system (RDBMS) such as MS SQL Server or Oracle.
