Overview

IQVIA provides scientific services spanning clinical trials, real world evidence, and consulting in all areas of the product lifecycle. The Patient Centered Solutions (PCS) team leads the industry in generating data to ensure that the patient voice is incorporated into the development and commercialization of medication and other drug/non-drug interventions.

Role & Responsibilities

Provide support to the PXS team and the broader PCS team in multiple areas of patient-focused research. Support for PXS responsibilities will include:

• Owning the PXS scientific strategy and being the main scientific resource for PXS, supported by junior PCS Scientists, and PCS/PXS Consultants

• Being part of PXS steering committee, helping to determine direction and growth, and providing input into strategic decisions.

• Leading proposal development to deliver insightful, value-added proposals in response to client needs

• Supporting project work with clients, including

• Advising on behavioral concepts and models for use in asset development • Advising on research approaches and methodology to analyze behavioral data in the context of engagement in trials

• Advising on research design & study material development; advising on interpretation and analysis of patient behavioral data

• Helping to frame behavioral analysis offering and application to study design, engagement strategies, and tech design

• Contributing to sales and marketing, including advising clients on use of behavioral theories and models, and contributing to business development/proposals

• Active engagement in thought leadership in the domain of PXS & disseminating study findings in publications Broader PCS responsibilities include: • Leading proposal development

• Providing scientific advice and leadership to ensure that the patient's story is appropriately captured and caveated in research activities

• Using modern and rigorous scientific methodologies to undertake primary (qualitative and quantitative) and secondary research focused on generating a comprehensive understanding of a disease and treatment paradigm

• Mentoring, coaching, and sharing subject matter expertise with others to help develop individuals and capabilities delivering world-class solutions for clients

Requirements:

• Knowledge of academic and clinical models that guide health decision-making • Qualitative and quantitative research skills

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/technical writing skills.

• Excellent attention and accuracy with details.

• Ability to confidently communicate with and effectively present information to internal team.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• An advanced degree in behavioral science and/or behavior change; of particular interest is education in health psychology or neuroscience

• Patient-centered research experience, including qualitative research methods

• Clinical research, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience

• Experience with behavioral-science based tech design, user experience, and/or behavioral-focused algorithms is desirable

• Consulting experience with pharmaceutical companies is desirable
