We require a commercially focused and highly skilled to support the Global Medical Affairs business within Real-World Solutions. The role is varied and encompasses all areas of financial processing, commercial finance including reporting and financial analysis.

About the Team

The RWS finance team support the Global product owner teams as well as reporting Worldwide locally lead businesses in the RWS portfolio. We provide a link through to the corporate finance team on the Global RWS product and centrally managed RWS cost center. There is a collaborative culture with a strong focus on process improvement and innovation to improve the commercial insights for our internal teams as well as reduce their administrative burden.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Finance Director with integration of acquisitions onto IQVIA processes and ERP systems. Working with Corporate integration teams and updating integration reporting trackers.

  • Provide management information reports for the commercial teams and the RWS management team. This involves the creation of new reports and maintenance of existing reports to account for changes in business needs and to changes in internal hierarchies.

  • Own creation of necessary Master Data Management [MDM] codes within IQVIA hierarchy, including relevant reporting cost centers, internal orders, products, and general ledger account codes.

  • Builds strong relationships with the commercial, offering and finance teams to ensure quick submission and consolidation of information. Responds to ad-hoc requests from across the business (i.e. requesting, receiving and consolidating in quarter revenue risks and opportunities).

  • Support standard data to be used in regular leadership meetings and provide consistent source of financial data to be used across all cuts of business segment reporting.

  • Where required Support Revenue process from Proposal to Contracting. Ensure Billing information is collected and transferred to CRM if required for Group processing. Review revenue recognition processes to adhere to IQVIA polices.

  • Support or lead finance reporting on growing Medical Affairs offerings, encompassing all parts of financial reporting, month-end cycle, balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Take responsibility for loading through IQVIA tools monthly Forecast and annual Plan. Report against forecast and Plan variances as well as Acquisition business Cases. Involves working with leaders to get clear view of revenue and cost forecast assumptions and opportunities and risks included in assumptions.

  • Support Small Country Model month-end journal processing and reconciliation of local ERP to SAP within day plus one deadline.

  • Ability to support internal and external audits under specific timelines, providing necessary supporting documentation from local ERP to auditors.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Experience Required:

  • 3 - 5 years´ relevant finance experience

  • Part-qualified or qualified in accounting / finance

  • Analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management skills, working on many projects at the same time.

  • Ability to pick up new / bespoke software systems quickly.

  • Strong customer focus and ownership. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel.

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of SAP is favorable, also Xero helpful.

  • Experience of Hyperion Essbase, SFDC is useful.

  • Previous experience in acquisition integration.

  • Skilled working in a complex, global organization with proven ability to influence/execute through centralized and matrixed functions
