Job Description

How Will You Make An Impact?

As part of our commercial team, you will handle, achieve and exceed your budget for the assigned territories within the life sciences segment by promoting Genetic Sciences Division's (GSD) portfolio.

You will increase and maintain sales by developing business relationships with our customers, through highly focused selling to our existing customer base (direct sales efforts, demonstration, seminars, product detailing) and grow new business within Singapore.

What Will You Do?

  • Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales targets on quarterly and yearly basis, within assigned expense guidelines and territories.

  • Timely submission of accurate forecasts, weekly updates, monthly highlights and other related reports for defined territory to Team Lead.

  • Ability to use sales tools efficiently, prioritize and accurately forecast territory results, provide market intelligence insights, implement value selling that meets sales objectives.

  • Maintain accurate and current records of proposals, opportunities, accounts, contacts, leads, follow ups and action plan. Use SalesForce Dot Com (SFDC) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution as the primary reporting tool.

  • Builds and sustain relationships with customers and ensure customer happiness, satisfaction and dedication.

  • Understands scientific project needs and business needs of the customer to position a solution (qPCR/dPCR and/or sequencing and/or microarray) to win business. Actively promotes and sells consumable offering throughout the instrument sales process.

  • Coordinates with customer service support team to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve any issues related to delivery or invoicing.

How Will You Get Here?

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry is required.

  • 3+ years sales experience in Life Science, with capital equipment experience is helpful.

  • Knowledge of real-time quantitative PCR, Sanger Sequencing and other genomic tools and their applications in molecular testing and personalized medicine.

  • Strong listening skills and ability to collaborate well in a highly matrix organization (with cross functional teams and people with diverse skills, personalities and responsibilities).  

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving, and decision making skills.

  • Commercially strong, highly motivated and results driven.

  • Individuals demonstrating a passion to bring our Mission statement to life by enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

  • Position may require Covid-19 vaccination and/or routine testing, per client discretion.

Required Hiring Criteria:

  • Proven successful sales track record

  • Adept in handling Academia, private Biotech, and key Government accounts

  • KOL (Key Opinion Leader) customer management.

  • Experience in handling government tender biddings on Ariba, SESAMi and GeBiz.
