Discover Impactful Work:

The Electronic Manufacturing Technician will work on a variety of radiation detection instruments for both government and commercial customers.

A day in the Life:
  • Set up test equipment to test appropriate equipment using established procedures, schematics, and knowledge of the assigned technology, systems, and components, and resolve any issues outside desired results
  • Daily production work building electromechanical sub-assemblies and assemblies.
  • Understanding and maintaining critical work cell Operations metrics.
  • Basic inventory management, such as pulling parts lists and providing inventory reports
  • Managing inventory and documentation for assembly needs.

Keys to Success:

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalency required
  • 2-year technical electronic's degree/certificate in a directly related field or equivalent military education/training

Experience
  • Assembly experience at least 1-3 years, preferably with electromechanical assemblies.
  • Consistent experience being able to read and understand technical information and instructions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings, schematics, and other manufacturing documentation.
  • Understand basic theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components.
  • Demonstrate proper use of simple hand/machine tools, electronic/manual test equipment and mechanical measuring devices.
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer to retrieve technical drawings, documents, and instructions.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand at a workbench for long periods of time through the workday.
