As a part of the Electrical Fault Analysis (EFA) software team, you will collaborate with teams across the engineering spectrum to realize and build solutions that enable our customers to find the electrical defects they cannot see, thereby growing efficiency in semiconductor fabs and labs by improving quality control and yield.

A day in the Life:
  • Design, develop and verify new software features with our semiconductor instrument
  • Embrace development to increase the quality of software
  • Plan, develop, model, and analyze designs for system integration to maintain requirement traceability through various subsystems and verification activities.
  • Actively participate in design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of the existing code base
  • Participate in the time-bound, agile development process to support both existing products as well as next-generation technology
  • Manage development needs and collaborate with hardware engineers, application engineers, and research scientists

Keys to Success:

We are searching for a skilled Software Engineer to crafting the software for new scientific instruments to aid groundbreaking scientists. As part of an innovative software team that develops software that controls an instrument and allows the scientist full interaction with instrument features. We work closely with both the hardware and lab automation engineering teams developing the instrument. You will architect and implement solutions within a full stack environment from serial port communication to Blazor UX implementation.

Education
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degrees or equivalent experience

Experience
  • Has at least 5+ years of proven experience in a sophisticated software\\hardware environment
  • Proven leadership skills and strong ownership of past projects
  • Hands-on technical experience and demonstrated excellence in an environment with sophisticated software and hardware designs and strength with sophisticated system-level debugging.
  • Proven experience with developing desktop applications (both front end and back end) using C# .NET, WinForms, WPF, and MVVM.
  • Experience with imaging systems, electronics lab equipment, or microscopy is a plus
  • Software development experience in Semiconductor tools and microscopes will be a plus (metrology and inspection equipment are preferred.)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Experience developing SW applications controlling hardware, stage control, instrument
  • Knowledge of developing software in at least one or more of the following: Machine/Motion control; Frame grabbers and digitizer; image processing and visualization
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, WPF, WinForms, and C++ is an asset

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $104,600.00–$156,875.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
