Summary:

Supervises work teams and provides leadership to production colleagues in the manufacturing, filling and/or packaging of high quality pharmaceutical products according to schedule, cost, and quality standards while maintaining human relations, safety performance, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory control and documentation procedures.  Handles Production/Engineering related projects to increase production efficiencies and add flexibility to adopt new contract work.

What will you do?

  • Accomplish Manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, implementing process and procedures.

  • Reviewing batch records for accuracy.

  • Ensure systems and consumables are meeting the highest quality by establishing and implementing standards.

  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Participate in CGMP client audits to uphold and ensure the highest standards of quality

  • Participate in regulatory audits

  • Participate in cross-functional projects for new products and processes.

  • Drives Practical Process Improvement (PPI) thinking to assignments continuously driving improvement.

Keys to Success:

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical, Biological, Chemical or Production related science is preferred.

Experience:

  • Five years of relevant experience is required. Supervisory experience and experience in production setting is highly preferred.

Equivalency:

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Understanding and experience with Microsoft office, Trackwise, and SAP to drive efficient and controlled Manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of key technologies including aseptic technique, pre-fill syringe line, Isolator technology, and compounding of products.

  • Experience with 5S, Quality Process Control, and Lean Manufacturing.

  • Experience in improving the quality, efficiency, and cost of manufacturing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 25-50 pounds, occasionally pushing or pulling more than 100 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
