We are looking for an AssociateStudy Director to work in our experienced and growing analytical physico chemical testing team at our site in Eye, Suffolk. This is to be responsible for, to organise, to run on a day to day basis and report, studies of various types and complexity.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake the role of Study Director/Analytical Principal Investigator for assigned studies

  • Prepare and check Study Plans/Analytical Phase Plans, data and reports

  • Approve analytical methods ensuring they are fit for purpose and reflect the conditions established during method set-up/development

  • Prepare analytical reports ensuring they reflect the work undertaken and any conclusions drawn are accurate

  • Assist in problem resolution and provide advice to colleagues in solving analytical problems

  • Liaise with other collaborating departments to ensure effective conduct of projects

  • Assist in the preparation or revision of Standards Operating Procedures

  • Respond to clients placing analytical projects, establishing client requirements, developing Study Plans, liaising on day-to-day issues and ensuring that communications meet client expectations

  • Provide expert advice on analytical results to colleagues and clients, maintaining awareness of current trends, issues and developments

  • Ensure procedures associated with Study Director/Principal Investigator appointment, master schedule entries and QA audit of study plans and amendments are adhered to.

  • Ensure GLP compliance of systems and procedures and that quality of work/data meet required standards

  • This is a totally office-based role

Education:

  • BSc in Chemistry related subject. Experience may be substituted for education

Skills and experience:

  • Instrumentation experience in industry with one or more of the following: LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, HPLC-uv,

  • Demonstrable experience either overseeing studies or having performed a number of analytical studies along with study design and conducted to GLP standards advantageous

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
