By becoming part of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) in Latin America, under the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll be at the forefront of addressing analytical challenges for a wide range of customers including those in industries like pharmaceuticals, biotech, government sectors, and more. We deliver a robust selection of instruments and services crafted for a variety of lab, production, and field settings. Our solutions, trusted across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, governmental, environmental, and general industries, enable precision and reliability.

Our market approach includes a dedicated team of professional direct salespeople, along with a network of resellers and distributors. This role is stationed at our Mexico City headquarters on Avenida Insurgentes.

What will your responsibilities be?

In the Coordinated Marketing Team, the role of a Marketing Specialist focuses on generating sales leads. Achieve this through backing efficient marketing initiatives (like seminars, webinars, exhibitions, product launches, etc.), developing impactful marketing materials and tools, and staying current on effective customer outreach methods. You'll transform marketing needs into actionable strategies and outcomes. Key duties include:

  • Support the crafting and execution of a comprehensive annual marketing plan and budget in collaboration with the global downstream marketing team and commercial teams.
  • Collaborating closely with the Thermo Fisher global marketing team to stay updated on the latest marketing tools, guidelines, and standards.
  • Producing and distributing marketing materials, gimmicks, and campaign assets for both traditional and digital platforms to develop customer engagement and lead generation.
  • Growing and enhancing the customer database.
  • Prioritizing both physical and online marketing events for the company and its partners.
  • Facilitating internal communications, events, and activities.
  • Managing sales leads across all sources and integrating them into Salesforce.
  • Evaluating marketing strategies (through pre and post-campaign analysis, customer insights, etc.) to refine and improve marketing efforts.
  • Partnering with external vendors to ensure campaign success and task completion.
  • Establishing metrics to measure marketing campaign efficiency.

How will you achieve this?

A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, advertising, or a similar field is required, with a preference for candidates knowledgeable about the scientific equipment sector.

You should have over two years of experience in a business setting, handling multiple projects with a consistent record of meeting deadlines and budgets.

Experience in organizing events and a keen eye for detail are necessary.

Experience in an omni-channel environment, including print, digital, presentation, video, and more, is beneficial.

A willingness to learn and adapt to new marketing tools is important.

You should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Eloqua, or similar software.

Creativity, inquisitiveness, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and teamwork skills are crucial.
