General Description of Job Function or Purpose:

Remote Opportunity

This position functions as the primary resource and team leader for compliance audits of manufacturer trading partner agreements between Wholesalers, PBMs, Specialty Pharmacies, Patient Assistance Programs, Coverage Gap Discount Programs, or other healthcare entities.  This position is responsible for managing and leading the IQVIA Audit Team and achieving the financial goals set as part of the Contract Performance Solutions functions.  This position is also responsible for the management, analytical, organizational and publication functions for each assigned audit project.  This position also serves as a corporate resource for IQVIA business functions regarding process compliance audits for the wholesaler, prescription management, medical and pharmaceutical industries.   

Education & Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, finance, healthcare, pharmacy, or computer science related area or a minimum of 7 years’ experience in medical or prescription drug claim processing, pharmacy benefit management, managed health care or within a pharmaceutical managed markets area or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Managerial skills with proven ability to build and supervise a team
  • Development and management of revenue budget / forecast including resource management
  • Proficient in project management including scope requirements to prevent changes beyond the agreement’s statement of work
  • Self-starter who demonstrates initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to confidentially manage client and trade partner relationships.
  • Ability to work with complex computer applications such as rebate contract processing systems, pharmacy billing, or PBM and medical billing software systems.
  • Ability to quickly become fluent in IQVIA applications and tools used to complete the audit.
  • Functional understanding of prescription drug formulary and formulary management.
  • Knowledge regarding wholesaler inventory, accounts receivable and chargeback management processes
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications such as Office 365, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess solid writing skills with the ability to complete and publish a 20-60-page audit report.
  • Must be familiar with HIPAA compliance and be able to appropriately handle confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact as a project team leader
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work streams and conflicting priorities.
  • Travel is a requirement (approximately 20-25%).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of audit team
  • Serve as the lead to the assigned audit team and direct and assist staff in the completion of the audit engagement.
  • Manage the coordination of all audit functions including working directly with manufacturer clients and their trading partners to schedule and complete Contract Compliance Audits based on a pre-defined scope of work.
  • Responsible for the writing, editing, Q/A, revisions and presentations of audit reports and supplemental information to the client.
  • Manage hours and teams to the proposed agreed upon statement of work time-line and hours.
  • Oversee the analysis of data (electronic and otherwise) received from clients and other sources, which are pertinent to the audit.
  • Supervise and provide high level analysis of reporting and data prior to on-site activities.  Amend audit exercises as appropriate, based upon those analysis. 
  • Communicate appropriately with both the client and the trade partner.
  • Perform research on various companies and topics via the internet and through other publicly available references.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for clients and prospective clients.
  • Perform as a knowledgeable resource for audit team members and analysts and other business areas as necessary.
  • Experienced with manufacturer wholesaler, rebate and pricing agreements.
  • Familiar with plan formulary design for commercial, Medicare Part D and specialty pharmacy including pharmacy and medical benefit design.
  • Familiar with medical billing processes and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Not required but beneficial:

  • Familiar with SQL or other ad hoc data aggregation tools.
  • CPA Certification.
