Job Summary: The Manager, Commercial Data and Reporting will be a member of the commercial Sales Operations team and will help support the field sales organization.  The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Excel, experience in developing complex data analysis and management.  The position will have the responsibility to create and maintain Incentive Compensation and Targeting strategy and plans for the Commercial Organization.  The position will have the responsibility to develop and leading two Sales Analysts.  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is extremely detailed oriented, likes working with data and enjoys problem solving.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working with Sales Leadership to develop Incentive Compensation plans for the Commercial Organization
  • Responsible for working with Sales Leadership to analyze and develop Targeting strategies
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining targeting files and alignments
  • Responsible for the timely delivery and data integrity, for all scheduled sales reports generated by Sales Operations
  • Responsible for target selection, maintaining eligibility rules for Customer Universe and determining the eligibility of ad hoc target requests
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support the commercial organization using BI tool, Veeva SFA tool and Excel
  • Assist reps with data and system questions as needed; perform territory/account research
  • Assist with creating and maintain reports in Veeva as needed to support commercial organization
  • Analyze business requirements, procedures and problems to provide solutions using Veeva/iRep

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise two Sales Analysts

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 6+ years work experience in sales or analytics
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Excellent Excel skills requires (pivots, macros, v/h lookups, etc)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Management experience a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce.com/Veeva or a similar CRM system a plus
  • Experience with BI tools a plus
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Ability to recognize and adapt to change and ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to overcome challenges
  • Ability to effectively communicate the findings associated with data analysis or team member questions
  • Pharma/biotech sales experience preferred
