この試験は、有効性または忍容性が限られているという理由で投薬の変更が必要な統合失調症患者 1,600 人で構成されます。 すべての患者は、研究への参加を通じて何らかの心理社会的治療を受けます。 研究参加者とその家族は、患者と家族の病気に対する理解を深め、家族の病気の負担を軽減し、治療遵守を最大化し、再発を最小限に抑え、さまざまな地域ベースのリハビリテーションサービスへのアクセスを強化し、学習保持の改善。
フェーズ I: 患者は、最大 18 か月間、5 つの治療条件のいずれかにランダムに割り当てられます。
- 320人がペルフェナジン(PER)による二重盲検治療を開始
- 320人がオランザピン(OLZ)による二重盲検治療を開始
- 320人がクエチアピン(QUET)による二重盲検治療を開始
- 320人がリスペリドン(RIS)による二重盲検治療を開始
- 220人がジプラシドン(ZIP)による二重盲検治療を開始
フェーズ IA: スクリーニングされ、遅発性ジスキネジアであることが判明した 100 人の患者が、フェーズ IA で 4 つの非定型薬の 1 つに無作為に割り当てられます。
フェーズ IB: フェーズ I でペルフェナジンによる治療に失敗した患者は、フェーズ IB でオランザピン、クエチアピン、またはリスペリドンにランダムに割り当てられます。
フェーズ II: フェーズ I、IA、または IB で最初に割り当てられた非定型抗精神病薬治療を投与以外の理由で中止した患者は、2 番目に割り当てられた治療 (フェーズ IB 患者の場合は 3 番目) に進み、残りの期間まで追跡されます。次のように、彼らの18ヶ月の参加:

フェーズIIは、参加者が18か月以上研究に留まることを意味する場合でも、少なくとも6か月続きます
