Nationaal register van genetisch getriggerde thoracale aorta-aneurysma's en cardiovasculaire aandoeningen (GenTAC)

De National Registry of Genetically Triggered Thoracic Aortic Aneurysma and Cardiovascular Conditions (GenTAC) werd in 2006 geïnitieerd door het National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) en het National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS).
GenTAC heeft een register opgezet van 3706 patiënten met genetische aandoeningen die mogelijk verband houden met thoracale aorta-aneurysma's en verzamelde medische gegevens en biologische monsters.
De studie eindigde in september 2016.
Gegevens en monsters zijn verkrijgbaar bij NHLBI en verzoeken moeten worden ingediend bij BioLINCC.

Het cohort bestaat uit patiënten met aandoeningen gerelateerd aan genetisch geïnduceerde thoracale aorta-aneurysma's.
Beschrijving
In aanmerking komende proefpersonen moeten een van de onderstaande voorwaarden hebben en persoonlijk zijn ingeschreven in een van de deelnemende klinische centra. Neem contact op met de studiecoördinator op de dichtstbijzijnde locatie voor meer informatie over deelname.
- Marfan-syndroom
- Turner syndroom
- Ehlers-Danlos-syndroom
- Loeys-Dietz-syndroom

- Bicuspide aortaklep zonder bekende familiegeschiedenis

Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Onvermogen van de patiënt, ouder of voogd om toestemming te geven.
