Pětiletá postmarketingová observační studie pro sledování pacientů s revmatoidní artritidou dříve léčených ve studii M02-497 (ReAct) a následně předepisovaných Humira

Účelem této observační studie bylo pozorovat a hodnotit dlouhodobé užívání, bezpečnost a účinnost adalimumabu v normálním klinickém prostředí.

Jednalo se o multicentrickou, nekontrolovanou, 5letou observační studii adalimumabu při léčbě pacientů s revmatoidní artritidou (RA), kteří dostávali adalimumab po dobu nejméně 3 měsíců v NCT00448383 (studie M02-497), intervenční studii, která skončila, když adalimumab se staly komerčně dostupnými pro léčbu RA. Účastníci museli dostávat pokračující léčbu adalimumabem v době, kdy NCT00448383 (studie M02-497) skončila a byl jim předepsán komerční adalimumab, a mohli dostávat komerční adalimumab až 1 rok poté před zařazením do NCT00234884 (studie M03-634).

Zkoušející lékaři byli vyzváni, aby s účastníky zacházeli stejně jako s jakýmkoli jiným pacientem s RA ve své rutinní klinické praxi a mohli svobodně určit vhodnou terapii pro každého pacienta. Souběžná léčba chorobu modifikujícími antirevmatickými léky (DMARDs), včetně methotrexátu, by mohla pokračovat i při podávání adalimumabu. Pokud byla léčba adalimumabem z jakéhokoli důvodu trvale ukončena, účastníci byli ze studie vyřazeni a důvod byl zaznamenán. Zkoušející byli požádáni, aby zaznamenali nežádoucí účinky až 3 měsíce po posledním podání adalimumabu.

Studijní populace

Účastníky byli pacienti s revmatoidní artritidou (RA), kteří dostávali adalimumab po dobu alespoň 3 měsíců v NCT00448383 (studie M02-497) a po ukončení této studie jim byl předepsán komerční adalimumab. V době zařazení do NCT00448383 (studie M02-497) účastníci selhali u jednoho nebo více chorobu modifikujících antirevmatických léků (DMARD) a měli aktivní, středně těžkou až těžkou RA navzdory souběžné léčbě RA.

Popis

Kritéria pro zařazení:

  • Účastníci s pokračující léčbou adalimumabem, kteří dokončili alespoň 3. měsíc (návštěva 5) NCT00448383 (studie M02-497) a kterým byl následně předepsán adalimumab podle souhrnu údajů o přípravku (SmPC).
  • Účastníci museli být ochotni souhlasit se shromažďováním údajů a jejich poskytováním společnosti Abbott.

Kritéria vyloučení:

· Účastníci s kontraindikacemi dle SmPC.

DAS28 je složená míra aktivity onemocnění u pacientů s revmatoidní artritidou. Vypočítává se na základě počtu citlivých a oteklých kloubů (každý hodnocený u 28 kloubů), pacientova ESR a pacientova subjektivního hodnocení aktivity onemocnění (posuzováno pomocí 100mm vizuální analogové stupnice). DAS28 menší než 3,2 indikuje nízkou aktivitu onemocnění a DAS28 větší než 5,1 indikuje vysokou aktivitu onemocnění; neexistuje žádný absolutní rozsah skóre kvůli variabilitě ESR mezi pacienty.
