Senior Strategic Pricing Director - Technology Offerings

PURPOSE:

This role sits within the Strategic Pricing & Partnerships Team within the R&D Solutions Global Business Unit and is focused on leading pricing efforts associated with IQVIA’s rapidly growing clinical technology business, reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Pricing for R&D Solutions.  IQVIA is seeking an individual with experience in supporting new technology product development, shaping market and customer research and data analytics programs, and establishing pricing and commercial solutions that enable scalable, profitable growth.  The role will require engagement with customers, product owners, and business leaders to understand market needs, guide research programs, and develop product and deal-specific pricing strategies.  The ideal candidate will have direct experience leading clinical technology product go-to-market efforts and working directly with customers, a strong understanding of different pricing and sales models and tactics, and a high degree of comfort working with a diverse group of senior stakeholders to achieve growth targets and key financial performance measures. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engage with Customer Teams, Sales, Finance, Product Development, and IT organization to develop the value proposition of key technology offerings and develop aligned pricing strategies
• Support the development of market intelligence activities that influence go-to-market strategy
• Develop and support a scalable pricing framework for supporting clinical offerings over their lifecycle
• Work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams to proactively develop market analyses, partnership solutions, and business structures to support specific transactions and business development efforts
• Participate in customer presentations and bid defense activities to articulate and demonstrate the value of IQVIA solutions
• Support strategy development and account planning activities by providing visibility to solutions/models across our customer base and trends being seen in the market
• Collaborate with product owners, finance teams, and business leaders to model and manage the impact of pricing strategies and transaction structures on overall financial performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate Degree in sciences, computer science, math, engineering, operations research or related field; MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years professional experience, including minimum of 5 years in roles focused on new technology product development and launch, SaaS business development, pricing strategy, or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Strong healthcare and clinical technology market knowledge and experience
• Strong critical thinking and data analysis/integration skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of comfort working in team environments
• Possess strong decision making skills with the ability to be assertive
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high growth environment
