VP, Real World Data and Technology

Exciting opportunity to grow the Data and Technology business at a Real World market leading organization! This role is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans for the US Real World Data and Technology team based on US market and global opportunities. The VP & GM has P&L responsibility for IQVIA’s world class Real World Data such as PharMetrics Plus and its technology offerings such as Linguamatics NLP, Privacy Analytics, and E360.  The leader of this team will be responsible for the growth in these offerings and ensuring we have a growth path with new data and technology-oriented offerings. 

This opportunity requires a high degree of collaboration with our global business units, database stakeholders, and our services teams.  The role includes managing the team responsible for data processes, development, and deliverable.  For the tech offerings, often the role requires leading without direct line management.  


As the P&L owner for our Real World Data and Technology, understanding key metrics on TCV, revenue, cost/expense, and being able to create business cases for new opportunities will be to success. 


The Data and Technology group is part of a larger Real World Solutions team located in the US. Additionally, IQVIA operates with a global Real World business unit, creating significant opportunity to collaborate both locally and globally. Additionally, this provides unique growth opportunities for an individual in the role.


Responsibilities:

  • Meets or exceeds assigned revenue targets by developing and delivering insightful, value-added solutions that address complex client issues; manages profitability of the engagements and the group
  • Seeks out and identifies new revenue opportunities at existing and potential clients – ensures a continuous flow of business from client engagements.
  • Manages the P&L to ensure that this offering suite meets it EBITDA targets
  • Collaborates with the global data owners to ensure US based offerings are sold to companies located outside of the US; ensures our exUS offerings are sold to companies within the US
  • Contributes to the scope and future direction of the portfolio by creating a 3-year strategy plan and execution path for annual progress against plan
  • Supports sales activities and the development of innovative solutions – e.g., new, scalable programmatic offerings - that meet client’s needs
  • Recruits and maintains talent within the group; manages a talent agenda to ensure team has appropriate growth opportunities


Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver and communicate evidence generation strategy and customer requirements.
  • Must possess strong project management and organizational skills, exceptional analytical and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and affinity for problem solving and innovation
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Proven record delivering projects on schedule and within budget
  • Excellent presentation and client facing skills
  • Manages client contracting process to ensure agreements meet the business requirements
  • Provides data stewardship for internal Real World services teams by understanding their data and technology needs and facilitating the business case build for addressing those needs; works with Supplier Relations and Corporate Development to identify opportunities to support those business cases
  • Presents insights and perspectives to client executive management, external professional bodies, conference presentations etc. to promote awareness and credibility of IQVIA capabilities in the marketplace
