<h2><b><span>Description</span></b></h2><h2><span>Labcorp is searching for a Compliance Attorney to support its diagnostics and drug development business segments as a member of the Labcorp Corporate Compliance Department</span><span>. </span><span>Labcorp's Corporate Compliance Department partners with the business to advance the delivery of world-class services and innovation with integrity by promoting practices that comply with laws, regulations, and high ethical standards. The Department is committed to a trusting and collaborative culture where we value growth and development. </span><span>This position is based in Burlington, NC but open to remote applicants.</span><span> </span></h2><h2><span>The successful candidate will:</span></h2><ul><li><h2><span>Provide day-to-day health care compliance and regulatory counseling to internal clients, as well as advise on the application of laws, regulations, and Company compliance policies to a broad range of health care business arrangements and transactions</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Possess a working knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and other legal issues affecting the health care industry,</span><span> including: (1) fraud and abuse laws (including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act) and related Office of Inspector General and U.S. Department of Justice regulations, guidance, and enforcement as well as other state laws implicated in relationships between clinical laboratories and other health care entities; (2) Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and billing rules applicable to clinical laboratory services; and (3) state and federal licensure laws applicable to clinical laboratories, such as CLIA </span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Implement and oversee compliance policy and training updates</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Provide legal support in responding to government and other third-party audits or investigations</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Participate in acquisition due diligence and integration related to the compliance program</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on, and team-oriented environment where you can have a big impact on the organization, we'd love to talk to you!</span></h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b><span>Requirements</span></b></h2><h2><span>Experience and Education:</span></h2><ul><li><h2><span>JD from an ABA accredited law school</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Minimum of 3-5 years of overall experience (law firm or in-house)</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Admission to a US State Bar</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Solid working knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry best practices that affect health care providers and clinical laboratories</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Team player with excellent judgment and interpersonal/communication skills</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Ability to constructively counsel and influence clients in making the right decisions</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Capacity to simultaneously handle a variety of complex legal matters with minimal guidance</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Demonstrable experience taking ownership of issues and providing practical advice</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Ability to prioritize and undertake mission critical tasks in a fast-paced environment</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Experience with legal and regulatory issues related to all phases of drug and device development also considered a plus, including: (1) FDA Regulations (and other international equivalents); (2) ICH-GxP requirements; (3) global medical device and in vitro diagnostic registration requirements; (4) transparency laws; and (5) human biological specimen regulations</span></h2></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:</b></p><p></p><p>As an EOE/AA employer, the organization will not discriminate in its employment practices due to an applicant's race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or veteran status.</p><p></p><p>For <span>more information about how we collect and store your personal data, please see our </span><span><a href="https://www.labcorp.com/hipaa-privacy/web-privacy-policy" target="_blank">Privacy Statement</a></span><a href="https://www.labcorp.com/hipaa-privacy/web-privacy-policy" target="_blank"><span>.</span></a><span> </span></p>
