Regional Contracts Lead

As a Regional Contracts Lead you will be joining the world’s largest & most comprehensive clinical research organisation, powered by healthcare intelligence.

You will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of the contract flow for client in such a manner that it is compliant with Sponsor and legal guidelines, is delivered in the required quality and within the agreed timelines. The Regional Contracts Lead participates in the resolution of contract-related issues as they arise in order to support a broad range of therapeutic studies across all Sponsor divisions in accordance with the requirements described in FSP Program.

What you will be doing:

  • Assigned to each study Regional Contracts Lead performs study contracts oversight through the FSP model
  • Project related reporting into the Study Teams
  • Responsible for the Quality and timely delivery of the contract negotiation process at the project level
  • Attend the Legal Kick-off meeting and the budget kick-off meeting
  • Attend weekly study team and country meetings, as needed
  • Act as liaison between the study teams and local negotiators, as needed
  • Train the local negotiators on the negotiation guidelines as well as budget related issues including schedule of assessment and protocol synopsis
  • Make sure that all correct and agreed contract templates are used and all contract types for each site are agreed in upfront
  • Follow-up closely with local negotiators on the contract negotiation process and progress
  • First contact for the local negotiators when there are budget issues
  • Prepares and maintains status reports for management
  • Identifies risk and mitigation strategies as it relates to meeting contract negotiation timelines
  • Provides guidance on contract matters to project management or other operational staff.
  • Ensures contract close-out, extension or renewal

You are:

  • Undergraduate/Bachelor degree (in contract/legal area)
  • Read write and speak fluent English; fluent in host country language required.
  • 3-5 years of outstanding experience negotiating either clinical trial agreement budgets or clinical trial agreement language
  • Three or more years Industry experience required.
  • 1-2 years of proven superior performance as a Contracts Manager
  • Creative problem solver, skilled in risk management and leadership.
  • Demonstrates effective time management skills; able to independently prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and use initiative to anticipate/resolve issues and complete tasks.
  • Shows a commitment to and demonstrates the ability to consistently perform high quality work with minimal management oversight.
  • Has working knowledge of CTMS, clinical trial budget and language negotiation
  • Has an understanding of Budget Manager tool and how Pfizer uses it
  • Proficiency of Contract Management (including legal requirements).
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Word and Excel.
