Position Title: Data Manager - Labs
Location: 929 North Front Street, Wilmington, NC 28401
Summary of Duties: Coordinate all data management project management-related activities, including all aspects necessary for a successful setup, conduct and closeout of assigned studies. Build strategic partnerships with our clients to ensure future business. Present requested materials to sponsors. Proactively lead the closeout/lock of the database by working with internal (IS and PM) and external (recipient/sponsor) clients to coordinate all final lock processes. Plan and monitor all activity during the conduct phase of the study, including the training/re-training of support staff on routine reports and transfers, as well as facilitating the cleaning process to ensure a clean database lock period. Present materials to sponsors. Program, validate DSR and data transfer format development of programs, applications and tools to ensure quality output. Generate the transfer of data to recipient for all complex and/or milestone transfers, including the scheduling, running, QC, and sending of the file to the sponsor to ensure high quality data transfers. Generate all complex and/or non-routine reports for internal and external customers, including the scheduling, running, QC, and sending of the report to the sponsor to ensure consistent reporting of data. Track project performance and current risk profile via project dashboard. Duties may be performed remotely.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Information Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related field and two (2 years) of experience in the job offered, or as an IT Analyst, Systems Engineer, or related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Experience reading and interpreting user requirements documents to develop a product; Programming experience; Mainframe; WebMethods; AS400; Trillium; Dataflux; COBOL.
