Job Description

Position purpose:Participation in projects of new products' implementation, development of bioanalytical QC methods, preparation of methods validation plans and reports, execution of method validation experiments, transfer of QC methods to Operations, continuous support of the products and troubleshooting.

KEY Responsibilities:

• Designs and performs laboratory experiments independently.
• Serves as Technical Leader on R&D projects.
• Gives effective scientific presentations.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of relevant fields and techniques.
• Writes technical methods for production, testing and use of new products.
• Attends scientific conferences and presents work through posters and publications.
• Begins to contribute ideas for new products and improvements to procedures
• Presents proposals and project updates when required.
• Effectively prioritizes experimental/technical execution and analysis to achieve on-time delivery.  Seeks feedback from others when priorities are not clear or logistical or technical challenges are encountered.
• Demonstrates understanding of technical and scientific approaches.
• Proactively identifies and communicates project risk, contributing to the build out of the technical risk register (i.e., risk ID and mitigation options) for associated projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for qualification / Education / Experience:

• Has strong knowledge of relevant scientific fields (biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology).
• Co-authors scientific publications (posters/papers) and presents at conferences.
• Demonstrates mastery of laboratory methods and shows ability to develop new methods.
• Analyzes experimental data, and effectively explains conclusions. Designs and executes follow-on experiments independently.
• Reads papers in depth in one or more relevant scientific areas, builds expertise. 
• Maintains an accurate and detailed lab notebook.
• Uses word processing, graphing, presentation and spreadsheet programs effectively.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills through informal discussions with peers, supervisor, and team.
• Understands the technical vision/mission of the department and company.
• Begins to build a track record of successful products that make significant contribution to the company
• Effectively uses the project management and company systems.
• Seeks opportunities to work in ambiguous situations to improve skills in decision making and strategies to tolerate and manage risk.
• Contributes to PPI activities with a focus around a business need or opportunity.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €26 200,00–€39 250,00.
